Most Çenger holidays take place within sizeable resorts along a quiet stretch of Mediterranean seafront. Hotel grounds and individual beach sections extend along the coastal road. The neighbourhood has no compact holiday-town centre, marina or long restaurant promenade, and activity outside the hotels is dispersed along the D400 corridor.
The setting for Çenger holidays
Çenger is a coastal neighbourhood of Manavgat district in Antalya Province, on the eastern part of the district’s resort corridor. Kızılot lies nearby along the Manavgat coast, while Çenger is west of Okurcalar.
The D400 corridor shapes this linear area, with large hotel compounds spread along and behind it. Some resorts have paths or underpasses connecting their grounds with their own beach sections, although arrangements vary between properties. There is no single central square around which the whole neighbourhood gathers.
A shoreline of sand, pebbles and open sea

Çenger’s beach cannot be summed up by one surface type. Sandy stretches occur beside sections where small pebbles mix with the sand, and stones are more noticeable at some points, particularly near the water entry. Beach texture and entry vary even between nearby sections.
The coast faces the open Mediterranean rather than a sheltered bay. Waves and water depth vary with the day and the exact hotel beach section, as does the firmness of the entry underfoot. Descriptions of the entire shore as uniformly soft, shallow or calm miss this local variation.
Resort grounds, local businesses and evenings
Much of daily holiday life takes place within the all-inclusive resorts and their landscaped grounds. This makes Çenger principally a self-contained resort area, while individual properties differ in scale and facilities.
Outside the properties, a limited selection of roadside and local businesses provides some everyday shopping. Evenings tend to centre on hotel entertainment, bars and terraces rather than a dense public nightlife district. The neighbourhood is neither deserted nor completely silent, but it does not have the continuous evening bustle associated with Side or Alanya.
Places not to miss near Çenger

The Alara River valley contains the closest group of notable historic landmarks. Alara Han, a fortified Seljuk caravanserai beside the river in the Okurcalar and Çakallar area, carries an inscription dating it to 1231–1232 and naming Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad I. Its stone courtyard plan recalls the trading routes that once crossed this part of southern Anatolia.
Alara Castle occupies the rocky height above the valley and remains a striking landmark in the surrounding countryside. The river flows below the castle, with the caravanserai on its bank beyond the resort coast.
Farther across the Manavgat region, ancient Side preserves a theatre, monumental streets, baths, harbour remains and the Temple of Apollo. Manavgat Waterfall is another broader regional sight: a wide, low cascade on the Manavgat River rather than a tall drop. Neither belongs to Çenger itself.
Çenger through the seasons
High summer is hot and brings the greatest concentration of activity around the resorts. Late spring and early autumn are generally milder, while winter has a much quieter coastal mood. Weather, open-sea conditions and the operation of seasonal businesses can vary throughout the year.
Antalya Airport transfer to Çenger
A private Antalya Airport to Çenger transfer connects the airport with the coastal resort area. The route page brings together the live vehicle options and booking information for this connection. Travellers can arrange the journey from the airport to their accommodation before they arrive.
