Boğazkent is a coastal neighbourhood east of Belek, within Serik district and the wider Belek tourism region. Rather than forming one continuous resort town, it spreads across a small residential centre, large coastal hotel grounds, pockets of golf development and a long Mediterranean shore.
Things to do in Boğazkent range from the public shore to the Köprüçay river mouth and nearby wetlands. The public beach occupies its own section of the coast, and reeds and waterways continue east towards the river mouth.
Things to do in Boğazkent by the Mediterranean

The coast is broad and largely sandy, although pebbles appear along parts of the shore and waterline. Boğazkent Public Beach provides a distinct municipal stretch, separate from the beach areas attached to large resorts. The municipal section extends along the open shore outside the neighbouring hotel grounds.
The beach and resort programme is more evident in summer. There is no single promenade tying everything together; resort plots, golf areas and public shoreline occupy separate sections of the coast.
Between the resort coast and the local centre
Boğazkent’s resort-and-golf belt and local centre occupy separate parts of the neighbourhood. Large properties line sections of the coast. At Kirman Belazur, a resort pier with loungers and parasols extends over the sea beside a mixed sand-and-pebble stretch. Inland, the centre is smaller and more residential; it has no old town, marina quarter or continuous urban promenade. The inland centre of Serik provides the district’s broader everyday services.

Wetlands at the mouth of the Köprüçay
At Boğazkent’s eastern side, the Köprüçay reaches the Mediterranean through a landscape of waterways, reeds and a small fishing harbour. Nearby Boğazkent Kuş Cenneti—the locally and officially used name for the wetland and bird habitat—is an important stop and breeding area for migratory birds, and bird-ringing work has taken place here. The spur-winged lapwing is one bird recorded breeding in the area.
The Boğazkent shoreline is also a caretta caretta nesting area. Parts of this nesting area lie along the same broad Mediterranean shoreline as the public beach and the coastal resort belt.
Main places in Boğazkent
Boğazkent Public Beach. The sand-dominated expanse, with pebbly intervals at the shore and waterline, forms a broad section of Boğazkent’s long Mediterranean frontage.
Boğazkent Kuş Cenneti. Reeds and waterways surround bird habitat beyond the resort grounds; it is a wetland area, not a formal national park.
The Köprüçay river mouth. Here the river meets the sea beside the surrounding waterways and the fishing harbour.
The centre-to-coast contrast. The small local centre sits inland from extensive resort grounds and pockets of golf development along the coast.
Boğazkent and Belek: what changes?
Boğazkent and Belek share the wider tourism region but remain separate neighbourhoods. Belek is more closely identified with the resort coast and golf belt around its centre; Boğazkent lies farther east and is more closely tied to its own public beach, the Köprüçay mouth, wetlands and bird habitat.
